Due to career development of the existing post holder, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified and experienced practitioner and clinical leader at band 6 or above to become the new emergency pathway clinical lead within Stockport mental health liaison service.
Main duties of the job
This is a permanent position within the leadership team of a friendly, diverse and dynamic team. You will need to be a resilient, skilled and passionate professional with a keen sense of drive towards excellence in clinical care and representing and promoting mental health within the general hospital environment. This is a real opportunity for anyone interested in expanding their supervision, management and service development skills alongside their clinical expertise. Stockport mental health liaison service is a fast paced and vibrant team.
The emergency pathway is focused on the assessment and support of people of all ages attending the emergency department. You must be prepared to work with and advocate for a wide range of individuals and be able to adapt quickly and work outside traditional service boundaries.
The postholder will provide direct clinical and operational management support to the team of liaison practitioners within the urgent pathway, ensuring a safe and high quality service is maintained. You should be able to demonstrate an ability to work effectively under pressure and will have a sound knowledge of clinical and risk assessment alongside excellent communication and supervisory skills.
Because of the service profile, this post is worked during the day over 7 days to include weekends and bank holidays in order to provide senior cover for the overall liaison service .
