We’re looking for a Reception Manager to manager all Hotel Reception tasks and functions, to lead and manage team and ensure guest service is at the centre of our Reception services.  

You are the meet and greet, the hosts, often the first face and contact of the hotel, the warm welcome...... you maintain a positive and calm outlook, a friendly approach, communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, complete reception duties whilst paying close attention to detail and providing exceptional customer service, and ensure the team you work with are equipped to do the same.

As well as checking guests in, and out, you will promote in house dining, ensure payments and ledgers are all balanced, be point of contact for escalated queries, whilst coordinating with the Meeting and  Events coordinator to ensure guests requests are met. 

To succeed in the Reception Manager role you should have previous experience of working within a hotel reception and knowledge of hotel reservations systems. You should also have good sales ability, an approachable manner, and knowledge of the MS Office suite and strong team leader or management experience.

This is a FULL TIME, on site position, working a shift pattern across 7 days, inlcuding lates, earlies, weekends and bank holidays.

Duties and responsibilities will include:

  • leading briefings with team and coaching their skills
  • ensuring balance of hotel funds within reception-reporting with support office and working with hotel management team
  • taking reservations,
  • dealing with guests’ enquiries and assistance,
  • check-ins and check-outs,
  • taking payments,
  • answering calls and emails and ensuring a high level of customer service at all times
  • planning team rotas
