Job summary

Job Title: OD Consultant

Grade 8b

Base: Hybrid - part home working, part based at ICB offices in Derby, and required to travel to sites throughout Derby and Derbyshire as needed.

This new role will lead on the delivery and co-ordination of one of the 10 ICS People Functions, "Supporting system design and development". The ambition is to create a system-wide culture that: is driven by purpose; enables people, places, and the system to fulfil their potential; is connected to the people served by the system and those delivering services.

You will work closely with the ICB Chief People Officer, ICB, NHS and ICS Executive Teams and OD Leads across the system to develop and implement OD programmes and initiatives that support the development of the ICS and the implementation of the Integrated Care Strategy and NHS Joint Forward Plan.

A confident and assured OD practitioner, you will have excellent facilitation and interpersonal skills, a track record of collaborative and partnership working and experience of delivering and commissioning large scale culture change programmes and smaller scale development interventions. You will need to be comfortable and effective at working with Board level colleagues and have a good understanding of the strategic context for the health and care system.

Job responsibilities

This post will lead on the delivery and co ordination of one of the 10 ICSpeople Functions supporting system design and development: the systemuses organisational and cultural system design and development principles to support the establishment and development of the integrated care board (ICB), and the integrated care partnership (ICP).

The post is responsible for providing professional expertise to the outcome of the business processes for the Department or Directorate

The post holder will define current processes, facilitate discussions andadvise colleagues as to how best practice might be adopted in the definition of future processes, document those processes as they are agreed and oversee their delivery. The job holder will carry out any other duties as may reasonably be required by their line manager;
