Wakefield Youth Justice Service are seeking to appoint a committed and motivated individual who is passionate about making a difference.

What does the role involve?

You will manage a caseload of children across YJS provision, you will undertake assessments, planning and interventions with children involved in statutory and non-statutory youth justice and diversionary programmes. You will work alongside partner agencies across the district and beyond you will contribute to managing and reducing risks to children, victims and communities. You will develop and fulfil the ambitions of vulnerable children by adopting a child first approach. You will involve children and families in the review and design of services and promote meaningful participation to positively influence service delivery.

Essential Requirements

Recognised Level 4 qualification in a relevant subject area e.g., youth justice, Probation, youth work, social work or teaching,  The ability to demonstrate an equivalent level of knowledge and skill gained through relevant experience and employment.
