Serco is contracted to provide Total Facilities Management to the Defence Academy of the UK (DA). This prestigious establishment is responsible for post-graduate education and most of the command, staff, leadership, Defence management, acquisition, and technology training for members of the UK Armed Forces and MOD Civil Servants. Serco supports the DA as the MOD's primary link with UK universities and international military educational institutions.

Serco have an exciting new role as a Front Desk Administrator. You will provide an efficient reception service for staff, students and visitors attending Joint Services Command and Staff college (JSCSC).

Key Accountabilities:

Provide reception services to all staff, students and visitors to the JSCSC – dealing with wide ranging issues or forwarding to relevant team as necessary. Will be trained to help cover at the main gate Allocating accommodation on the in-house system as per nominal rolls or adhoc requests received by DA Accommodation. Prepare envelopes to include room keys and PIC cards as necessary. Prepare invoices, take payments, issue room keys. Liaise with ESS Housekeeping regarding any changes to bookings that could have a knock-on effect for them (late departs, walk-ins, early departs etc). Check in all visitors on Agilysys, once key has been issued. Cash off any payments (cash or credit card slips to be put in Petty Cash tin). Keep record of any Visitor Access cards that are issued ensuring their return when the visitor departs.

What you’ll need to do the role:

Good level of general education. Excellent customer service skills Professional and engaging communication using a variety of methods (spoken, written). PC literate, with a good level of experience in MS Office including Outlook (essential), Word (essential), Excel (essential).

The Defence Academy sits within a beautiful and secure site which hosts 2 lakes and is surrounded by acres of scenic woodland.
