Job summary

We are seeking a Regulatory Compliance Lead to join our team. The successful candidate will articulate and demonstrate a commitment to ongoing patient and staff safety by building excellent relationships with the clinical and governance staff and leaders on the frontline.

Main duties of the job

The Regulatory Compliance Lead has a wide range of responsibilities, including but not limited to:

Leading the year-round CQC preparation work for the organisation

Coordinating the response to clinical concerns that come into the organisation.

Providing support to ensure appropriate information is provided to NHSR for any claims received into the organisation.

Being the trust lead for patient safety alerts and ensuring they are circulated appropriately, and action taken where required.

Supporting the 15 steps challenge program within the Trust

Leading on trust governance process for Policy Management

Representing the Trust in relation to regulatory compliance matters at relevant external partnership/multi-agency meetings.

Taking the lead on specific projects as defined by the Director Nursing and Governance/Deputy Director of Nursing.

Line management and supervision of staff as required.

Job responsibilities

Extensive experience of embedding strong governance to manage regulatory compliance. A good understanding of the CQC process Experience of facilitating education/workshops with stakeholders Ability to work strategically and at all levels across organisational and professional boundaries and at the patient level. Ability to identify the priorities of the organisation and be proactive in addressing these through work planning and service development in a manner that ensures service equality.

Education to degree level in health related subject. Master's degree or working towards or able to demonstrate equivalent experience.

Extensive experience of embedding strong governance to manage regulatory compliance Experience of working at a strategic level and developing policies and strategies. A good understanding of the CQC process Experience of working in a constantly changing environment. Experience of undertaking audit and report writing Experience of working with external stakeholders Experience of teaching and facilitating education with stakeholders

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Ability to write and review policies in a timely and effective manner. Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills. Literate and numerate in English (GCSE C or above). Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Able to use IT systems Microsoft word and Excel. Demonstrates strong problem solving skills. Ability to work strategically and at all levels across organisational and professional boundaries and at the patient level. Able to analyse complex information and facilitate the application of theory to practice. Ability to be flexible and adaptable at work in order to meet competing priorities. An understanding of equality within the workforce and how it can impact on this post. Able to keep motivated self-motivated at all times. Presents a positive, professional image.
