About the roles: 


The Asset Lifecycle Manager roles are fundamental to supporting Manchester Airports growth ambitions through ensuring that the current asset base is maintained to ensure maximum operational availability. A key responsibility for the role/s is to assess overall asset operability and condition and develop the asset renewals plan over the short/medium and long term. The Asset Lifecycle Manager will prioritise and standardise asset renewals to help drive long term business efficiency and provide assurance in respect of longer-term investment planning through asset deterioration modelling and whole life costing techniques. In addition the Asset Lifecycle Manager will define asset criticality and help develop performance and condition models that will underpin future investment decisions.

Candidates should have demonstrable experience from within an Engineering Operations/Asset Management environment and be capable of analysing complex data to drive supporting business cases for capital investment and also have commercial experience.

We are recruiting Asset Lifecycle Managers in the following areas:

Contracts & Asset Support


Leading a team that manages more than 35 specialist Engineering support contracts with a value of circa £5.5m each year. Ensuring contract support SLA's and KPI's are met and that all support requirements are enshrined within the contract and are aligned to MAG's overarching Procurement policies. Leading the Permit to Work function which provides MAG with H&S assurance in respect of all 3rd party contractor activities on site and also leading the Asset Support Team who provide 24/7/365 call centre and work allocation support for both internal (Engineering) and 3rd party support providers.

Baggage

Leading the asset renewals processes for the site wide baggage systems so as to ensure maximum baggage system availability and efficiency. Assessing systems in terms of condition and obsolescence to ensure appropriate capital investment. Continuous analysis of forecast baggage demand versus system capacity and utilisation of data to support any required capacity enhancements. 

Security & Screening

Leading the asset renewals processes for the site wide security and screening systems so as to ensure maximum system availability and efficiency. Assessing systems in terms of condition and obsolescence to ensure appropriate capital investment. Continuous analysis of forecast security and screening demand versus system capacity and utilisation of data to support any required capacity enhancements.

Utilities

Leading the asset renewals processes for the site wide utility network so as to ensure safety and serviceability. Assessing network demand / capacity and forward forecast utility demands to propose network enhancements and renewals. Ensure any and all H&S regulatory requirements are adhered to including but not limited to Gas Safety Case and the maintenance requirements associated with the privately owned HV network.

Civils

Leading the asset renewals processes for all civils assets across the site including Airside and Landside locations. Assessing civils assets in terms of condition and to ensure appropriate capital investment and minimise any operational disruption. Continuous analysis of forecast traffic in both Airside and Landside locations in alignment with condition to identify and prioritise renewals investments.

What will make you successful: 

The successful candidate will have the ability to identify, prioritize, and promote capital investment needs in line with an overarching strategy can make informed decisions against a background of multiple stakeholder requirements. They can assess asset performance and the impact of agreed maintenance plans, and where appropriate, redefine asset maintenance plans to ensure maximum asset availability. They can make informed decisions in situations where data sets may be incomplete and lead and manage the development of a team of reports.
