CR Civil Engineering part of the RSK Group have a great opportunity for a Project Quantity Surveyor to join their northern team based in Rotherham, UK.

The Role:

As an experienced QS within an organisation with a real family and friendly feel, you'll be part of a team who are driven with an appetite to succeed.  Being a business within the RSK Group means we contribute to being global leading, in the delivery of sustainable solutions. 


The current allocated scheme/s will enhance network resilience and improve accessibility on the M1 motorway between Junction 28 - 35A and water sector in and around area 12 & 14.  The works will involve undertaking drainage modifications and minor earthworks to create new emergency refuge areas along the M1 corridor and improvement of the water infrastructure.

Your role will be integral to deliver our scope, which will include earthworks and drainage & water infrastructure solutions,


Responsibilities:

  • Support all tasks on site as directed by the Commercial Manager/Directors.
  • Have a good understanding of NEC4
  • Competent in reading and understanding specifications and drawings.
  • Be competent in using Microsoft Word/Excel whilst keeps efficient site records.
  • Preparation and issue of contractual letters/emails to clients and/or sub-contractors.
  • Site Measurement.
  • Preparation and submission of Early warnings.
  • Preparation, submission and agreement of variations & Compensation Events.
  • Preparation, submission and agreement of interim valuations and final accounts.
  • Preparation and submission of monthly cost and project reporting, including CVR’s
  • Agreement and certification of sub-contractor’s interim valuations and final account.
  • Work closely with our planners with regular progress updates from site.

Who we're looking for:

  • Experienced in earthworks and drainage and water
  • Experienced in working on motorways, and highways sector
  • CSCS Card 
  • Full clean UK driving license.
  • Enable projects to achieve strict deadlines.
  • Work well with other members of the team.
  • Thrive at problem solving.
  • Have the knowledge, drive and experience to deliver successful schemes and be good at go the extra mile to take yourself and CR Civils to the next level.
