Kennedys seeks a Financial Systems Developer proficient in integration and data management to bolster our London-based team. The ideal candidate is a self-driven individual with a drive for innovation, task automation and efficiency. Working within the Financial Systems Development Team, the role will be closely aligned to Kennedys Data Strategy team and instrumental in shaping and delivering the Financial aspects of Kennedys data strategy and vision. This is a hybrid role that supports flexible working and is based out of our London office.

Team

Our Finance team is made up of Financial Systems, Financial Control, Financial Planning and Reporting, Management Accountants, Credit Control, Legal Cashiers and Billers and Financial Operations Database teams.

Kennedys Finance team support the Firm globally producing timely and accurate financial and management information, reporting solutions and operational support to maintain the high standard of service offered to the Firm's internal and external clients.

Key responsibilities 

Design, develop, optimise, test, and support integrations, programs or scripts related to the practice management system and our current workflows Deliver solutions in accordance with agreed standards to ensure services are resilient, stable and future proof Document current and future integrations and solutions Work closely with other business services technical teams on joint projects that involve finance data and integrations Work within project teams to implement new financial systems, test upgrades and changes to existing systems and integrations.

Required experience 

Knowledge of Data flow and how to build and maintain effective Integrations Microsoft SQL Server development and maintenance (T-SQL and SSIS) Strong understanding of API design principles, RESTful architectures, and integration patterns. Experiencing of implementing best practice security encryption and protocols to protect data at rest and in transit. XML/ XSLT and XPath DTS/SSIS/SSAS/SSRS Knowledge and experience on Intapp and Boomi (Advantageous) An understanding of general legal finance and accounting principles. (Advantageous) Experience of working with a Legal PMS system (Elite, Aderent, SAP) (Advantageous) Experience of integrating finance transactions and data. Experience working with technical and non-technical stakeholders to gather requirements and help shape future processes and system design. Involvement in one or more data migration projects and a broad understanding of all aspects of such projects. (Advantageous)
