About the role

The role of Personal Academic Tutor within the School of Business & Management is to support and enable students to achieve their full personal and academic potential by working in collaboration with academics and professional services departments. This role provides personalised student support which ensures the personal and academic development of students through targeted interventions, meetings and action plans.

The Personal Academic Tutoring role will play an important part in delivering outstanding customer experience to students within the Faculty of Business, Law & Tourism, putting them at the heart of everything you do. You must seek to be innovative, have attention to detail and to develop new ways of working to understand what our students need from us and how we can support them throughout their academic journey.

The ideal candidate will possess a relevant degree in the subject area, have experience working within Higher Education, demonstrate an understanding of academic curriculum, assessment feedback and teaching and learning methodologies, along with previous experience of pastoral or academic tutoring.
