Purpose of theRole:As the Strategic Buyer you will play a pivotalrole in designing planning and implementing sourcing andprocurement strategies within Cathelco. This involves collaboratingwith global heads of procurement logistics & development toharmonize Cathelco with global strategies. Your focus will be onestablishing key purchasing contracts managing global and localinventory and ensuring the smooth operation of the procurementdepartment.

KeyResponsibilities:

• Investigatesecure negotiate and manage new global suppliers with a specificemphasis on Asia.
• Establish key purchasingcontracts conditions and parameters for effective daytodaypurchasing.
• Lead the procurement functionswithin Cathelco supporting manufacturing assembly electricaldepartments and all procurement leasing and warehousefunctions.
• Ensure all procurement activitiesare costeffective and ethical adhering to laws rules andregulations.
• Improve procurement and inventorymanagement systems processes and best practices in alignment withstrategic objectives.
• Develop MaterialRequirement Planning (MRP) processes and work closely with thebusinesss ERP.
• Collaborate with the Sales Teamto develop procurement forecasts.
• Managebudgets and build strong relationships with suppliers andvendors.
• Monitor record and positively affectprocurement KPIs ensuring the quality and certainty ofsupply.
• Create contingency plans for consistentsupply including alternativesources.

RequiredSkills andExperience:

• Experiencein establishing and managing new global supply partnersparticularly in Asia.
• Previous experiencemanaging and coordinating a procurement team and global supplychain.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office toolsespecially Outlook Excel Word andPowerPoint.
• Handson experience in budgeting andprocurement management.
• Proficient andexperienced in using ERP/MRP businesssystems.
• Strong attention to detail excellenttime management and organizationalskills.
• Outstanding negotiating skills and astrong analytical mindset.
• Good understandingof Lean principles and their application in theworkplace.
• Leadership qualities includingintegrity accountability empathy humility resilience visioninfluence and positivity.
• Ability to manageconflict.

AdvantageousQualifications (NotMandatory):

• Workingknowledge of the Cathelco product range and marineindustry.
• Knowledge of class requirementsrelating to MGPS ICCP and RO watermakers.
• Experience in the Marine Offshoreindustry and military markets.
• Full drivinglicense.

Qualifications(Not Mandatory butAdvantageous):

• Leadershipand/or management qualifications (e.g. CMI NVQ BTECILM).
• Procurement/purchasing management/supplychain management qualifications (e.g. CIPSIoSCM).
• Lean manufacturing qualifications (e.g.Six Sigma Lean Data Analysis).
