**Senior Buyer - Chesterfield - £35,000 - £45,000 + Bonus + Hybrid Working**

Chase & Holland are excited to be working exclusively with a market leading business based in Chesterfield who are looking for a Senior Buyer to join their team on a full-time permanent basis.

This newly created role will provide support to the Procurement team ensuring suppliers are able to deliver the best services and products and the business is able to perform to the highest standards without interruption throughout the supply chain.

As Senior Buyer, you will drive savings across all purchasing categories through performance monitoring, marketplace intelligence and business synergies working with existing and new suppliers to ensure best service at best cost.

**Senior Buyer Responsibilities**:

- To work with the Procurement Manager and Category Managers to provide local insight and support
- To ensure savings targets are achieved across all Categories in collaboration with the Finance department including the completion of ABC Analysis and true reconciliation gap analysis and subsequent actions
- To support in monitoring supplier performance, to ensure all suppliers perform within agreement terms
- To support in supplier risk management, working on risks identification and monitoring alongside mitigation management and have audits
- Responsible for implementing all project Procurement related activities, ensuring all projects stay on schedule by liaising with the relevant departments
- Ensuring reasonable time is allocated to each project to ensure agreed contract terms for all purchases
- To lead local supplier sourcing and management and be involved with international tenders
- To ensure compliance with Procurement Procedures and compliance to local regulations
- Be involved in local contract preparation, creation, management & leverage
- Responsible for savings & target contribution including strategic analysis of spend to forecast and true reconciliation of savings achieved

**Hours**:37.5 hours per week. Monday - Friday 8.45am - 5.00pm (45 mins lunch)

**Required Skills & Experience**:

- Previous or existing international procurement experience in an operational procurement function at a standard equipping you to take the next step in your Procurement career
- Solid knowledge of supply markets, cost drivers and use of commodity indices and legal principles along with an ability to perform in contract negotiation
- Strong and respectful interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal. You will be able to influence with your ideas, offer solutions and challenge professionally
- High level IT competency with Microsoft packages
- Good commercial awareness and professional approach
- Own and drive Procurement process with a drive for Continuous Improvement
- ‘Can Do’ attitude with a commitment to seeing things through to delivery
- Comfortable within a global business environment and large multimillion pound spend
