What to expect

Sitting in the Network Provision and Property team as part of the Retail Operations organization, the Senior Branch Projects and Business Change Manager plays a critical role leading a team of managers who are responsible for the delivery of ~1000 projects per year. You will have ownership of a £2m business change budget and will be accountable for developing efficient business processes that ensure best in class governance and controls. 


You will lead a team of four Senior Managers (2x Senior Property Project Manager, OBC Manager and Costings Manager) who will in turn have roughly 30 reporting into them. You will have the opportunity to build a team of project delivery experts, ensuring that the best-in-class project tools are available across the team and that capability is developed through your reporting line. 


As a key decision maker in defining how we best deploy change projects, you will need to influence senior stakeholders demonstrating that you can balance the needs of the business alongside the needs of Postmasters and Customers. Your team will also deliver change projects on behalf of other teams in the business, specifically the banking, Strategic Partner and Directly managed Branch teams.

What you’ll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will possess process and continuous improvement experience as well as implementing project management methodologies and tools. In addition, you will possess:
•    Proven leadership background ideally in a large corporate environment
•    A background in handling multiple projects and workstreams 
•    Demonstrable experience of implanting process improvements
•    Be comfortable influencing senior management and have great stakeholder management skills
•    A good understanding of Retail and Property would be beneficial
