We are looking for two motivated and enthusiastic individuals, who enjoys challenges, to join our team at the Chichester Centre, a low secure mental health Mental Health unit comprising of three wards, two male and one female, in Chichester, West Sussex.

You will be working as an administrator for Forensic Healthcare service where you will use your skills to support highly-skilled and dedicated clinical staff from a multitude of backgrounds including; doctors, nurses, pharmacists, therapists, and social workers, to help ensure that we continue to provide excellent patient-focused care.

As well as the clinical team you will be dealing with patients, carers and visitors to the unit, as well as telephone calls and enquiries from the general public, patients and relatives.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic person who has:

Planning and organisational skills; Ability to work on own initiative as well as works well in a team Has good PC skills: - experience of Microsoft Office, including but not exclusively Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel Has excellent written and verbal communication skills and a pleasant telephone manner Helpful and flexible attitude is essential Has good interpersonal skills and is able to work in a confidential and sensitive manner.

You will be provided with training and development opportunities and regular supervision.

There are two roles for hours across 3 days which must include either Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, or Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday (these dates may be subject to change and as much notice as possible will be given)

Job responsibilities

Secretarial duties for the Ward: To maintain records of sickness/absence/leave/training for the team.Organise and facilitate relevant meetings, preparing the agenda and taking minutes of the book bank staff via the Nurse Bank as instructed by the Ward Manager or input weekly figures of bank staff onto spreadsheets and distribute to appropriate produce word processed letters and reports to a high standard of presentation and accuracy using appropriate Trust templates, in line with Trust guidelines, from audio and hand written notes. Some letters and reports may contain very distressing content.

Qualifications

Essential

NVQ 3 or equivalent qualifications Good standard of secondary education; GCSE at Grade C or above or equivalent

Knowledge/Experience

Essential

Proven experience of a range of administrative procedures Experience of producing documents to a high standard of presentation with good accuracy Experience of developing, managing and maintaining office information systems Experience of working as part of a team
