The role
As a Stores Operative, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be responsible for providing support to the Stores Supervisor for a comprehensive logistic and storage solution for Babcock and our customers.
Day-to-day, you’ll support the Stores Supervisor in the management of the stores function and act as the stores supervisor’s deputy during their absence as well as:
Interfacing with customers, suppliers and colleagues to contribute to the smooth running of the stores functions Carrying out asset audits and controlling project inventory database as directed by the stores supervisor Utilising the quarantine procedure for project related goods in Liaising with the Installation Team Leaders and Project Managers for notification of delays to equipment returns, which may impact project delivery Being responsible for the preparation, organisation tasking and completion of assigned stores activities
This role is full time, thirty-seven hours per week and is based on site at Ashchurch.
Essential experience of the Stores Operative
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with fellow stores team members, clients and superiors Must possess relevant, practical experience in a related environment Must possess an adequate knowledge of and compliance with the health and safety policy and regulationsQualifications for the Stores Operative
Minimum GCSE Level Maths and English Must possess, or be willing to obtain a forklift driving license Possess a full UK driving licence
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance for this role.
