Our specialist SEN School in Lymington is currently recuriting for a Class Teacher to join our team. Set in the leafy grounds we provide full time education for young people who have Autism and associated disorders aged 11-19. 

Many of our pupils are living on site within our residential care homes. We cater for pupils whose needs vary in severity, from non-verbal pupils to young people who may go onto further education with the right support. In our teachers we seek people who can teach across the whole curriculum. Primary or Secondary applicants are welcome. 

Our main focus is on teaching communication skills and independance. 

 

You will:

• Hold UK QTS and a degree

• Have good interpersonal skills and will be able interact with and communicate confidently with staff and students and other stakeholders

• Understanding of SEN and be able to use empathetic approach to engage learners

• Knowledge of the curriculum and able to deliver in more than one curriculum area

• Have high expectations for all students and is able to raise attainment level and keep standard high

• Good IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Outlook

• Have a positive, can do, attitude

• Ability to manage your time and workload effectively

• Sound understanding of Safeguarding practice and procedures.

 

The salary for this role will be in line with pay sclaes and dependent on experience. We also offer many other benefits includiong pensions and training opportunities.
