We’re looking for a committed and creative **Pottery Tutor **to join our team here at the Lymington Adult Learning and Skills Centre on a **p**art** time (claims), permanent basis.** In return, you will receive a competitive salary of **£21.29 to £22.54 per hour.**

**About the role**

As the **Pottery Tutor, **you will teach pottery courses as agreed with the Area Organiser. We are looking specifically for a tutor to teach a pottery class for beginners on a Monday 13.00 - 15.00. Subject to numbers, the course will normally run over three 10-week terms.

**Responsibilities as our Pottery Tutor will include**:

- Mark registers and provide schemes of work.
- Work closely with the Area Organisers, particularly with regards to the recruitment, monitoring and progression of students.
- Pay due attention to the principles of inclusive learning including:

- individual learning styles.
- support for students with learning difficulties and disabilities.
- extension resources/activities for students of higher ability.
- Contribute to the design, delivery and future planning and development of the curriculum.
- Attend relevant Enrolment/Open Events as appropriate, in consultation with the Area Organisers and undertake such duties as may be reasonably requested from time to time.

**As our Lecturer in Pottery Tutor, you’ll** **ideally have**:

- Appropriate teacher training qualification - OR working towards this which can be done whilst teaching the course
- Successful track record of teaching adults or a desire to teach and obtain the relevant qualification
- Knowledge and understanding of current developments in the relevant curriculum area
- Empathy with and strong commitment to meeting the needs of individual students
