A school based in Romsey is dedicated to fostering a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for all students, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN). The school does cater for a range of SEN needs, but particularly specialises in Autism. They believe in the power of tailored support and individualised attention to help every student reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN, including those within the Autism Unit.
- Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs).
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to create a cohesive and inclusive learning environment.
- Foster independence, confidence, and self-esteem in students with SEN through personalised support and encouragement.
- Help students engage with the curriculum and participate in classroom activities to the best of their abilities.
- Support students in developing social skills and building positive relationships with peers.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with SEN, particularly autism spectrum disorder (ASD), is desirable.
- A compassionate and patient demeanour, with a genuine passion for supporting the learning and development of students with diverse needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals.
- Relevant qualifications or training in special education, SEN support, or related fields are advantageous but not essential.

- Have the right to work in the UK.
