The Role

The Investment Associate will lead on the acquisition process of new sites for the company. Reporting to the Director of Business Development, they will drive the sourcing, development, and execution of new landlord partnerships. This role requires attention to detail, confidentiality, and entrepreneurialism to guide the business to long-term success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse potential future Real Estate investments across London, Regional UK and  internationally (starting from our presence in Germany). Including Freehold, Leaseholds and Management Agreements.
  • Maintain the underwrite model - adjusting for new partnership structures, functionality and updating for the latest business benchmarks.
  • Project management for each opportunity, making sure all stakeholders are working towards the agreed project goals and against time (design, development, sales, operations, legal, etc).
  • Preparing reports and investment presentations for our internal Investment Committee, our Investors, as well as pitches for prospective Landlord’s and Agents.
  • Build and maintain a network of agents, landlords and others as part of our lead pipeline.
  • Be the second set of eyes to review underwrites run by other members of the team.
  • Lead the tracking of the investment pipeline, including maintaining databases for market contacts, development pipeline and leasing availability.
  • Performing analysis of the flexible office market and competitor organisations.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in a real estate investment or advisory, gained from a highly analytical, numerical role
  • Excellent written English, impeccable grammar and spelling
  • Experience working in a cooperative environment in a project manager capacity pulling together the input of all other stakeholders/departments
  • Ability to handle large datasets with an understanding of how to analyse, present and visualise data
  • Bachelor Degree with focus on Economics or Business Administration
  • Master’s Degree in Finance or Real Estate preferable
  • Strong communication skills (verbally)
  • Excellent written communication ability
  • Excellent Excel and modelling skills developed through experience with cash flow forecasting & returns calculation
  • Experience in underwriting model reviewing and error proofing
  • Strong presentation Skills - Highly skilled in Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Exposure to dealing with Senior Stakeholders
  • Ability to multi-task and work to deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with senior stakeholders, internal teams and external advisors
  • Highly organised, attention to detail
