An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Payroll Team here at Halfords. You will be part of a well-knit and hardworking team that is passionate about delivering an excellent customer service experience for all our colleagues. By working within the Team you will help identify ways in which the efficiency and effectiveness of payroll processing can be improved.

Key Skills/Experience

A high level of accuracy and attention to detailAn ability to perform well under pressureAn enthusiastic and self-motivated personalityGreat organisational and communication skillsAbility to work as part of a Team and across internal departments . Finance / People TeamIntermediate Excel / PC Skills with experience of lookups/pivot tables etcThe ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlinesCustomer focus with a proactive and helpful attitude

Key Responsibilities

Calculation / explanation of payments madeActioning P45’s and New Starter Declaration formsGeneral administration dutiesResponding to queries from external agencies including HMRC, DWP and CSAResponding to queries from internal colleagues regarding all aspects of their payAny additional support as needed

Training will be provided to perform all key responsibilities associated with this position if required.
