Job summary
This post is to support the Trust in the delivery of compliant, effective and efficient procurement processes which deliver the Trust's Procurement Strategy and organisational vision.
The post holder will have extensive public tendering and contract management experience and expertise. The role will involve stakeholder engagement and setting up a Preferred Supplier List for the Trust as well as delivering against a challenging pipeline of tendering activity.
You will be joining a small and effective Team which has set a vision to become 'best in class' and to be a forerunner of procurement best practice. You will have an awareness of the Procurement Act 2023 and what the new regulatory framework will look like. This is an exciting time to join SECAmb and the procurement function and help deliver value for money so we have more to invest in our frontline services for the community we serve.

Main duties of the job
In this role you will:
Ensure that an effective and efficient procurement and contract management service is provided to end users within the Trust.
Undertake full end-to-end formal tendering activity in line with Public Contract Regulations (PCR) and the Trust's Standing Financial Instructions.
Lead and manage the set up and ongoing maintenance of the Trust's Preferred Supplier List covering all categories.
Document the Procurement Team's processes and procedures into a Procurement Manual and/or set of Standing Operating Procedures and be responsible for maintaining these.
Deliver against the Procurement Pipeline entries assigned and provide contract management support, advice and guidance for contracts awarded and categories managed.
Contribute to the delivery of the Procurement Strategy.
Achieve value for money and contribute to the Procurement Team's Cost Improvement Plan target
Foster positive and constructive relationships with internal stakeholders and public sector buying organisations (PSBOs) and other NHS Trusts and NHS organisations, such as NHS Shared Buying Solutions, NHS Supply Chain and NHS Procurement Hubs.
