ABOUT THE ROLE:

Our Regional Account Executives (aka RAE’s) are part of our Foodservice team, and they’re on a mission to stamp out soggy fries, as well as introduce lots of culinary delights to pubs, bars, restaurants and so on across the UK (and in fact the World). 
It’s our RAE’s job to generate new sales opportunities through new business development by presenting our ranges across our McCain products. 
It’s a field based role mainly covering between Glasgow and Edinburgh. Reporting into the Customer Development Manager you will also…

• Be passionate about selling our range of products to existing and new customers. Taking advantage of your product and culinary knowledge to provide the right solutions to the business
• Identify and hunt for new business opportunities within your territory
• Build a network and engage with sales reps within our distribution network to support the selling of our products through our distributors/wholesalers
• Use of Salesforce to capture your customer visits/details/wins
 
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR…

This role is a great springboard into a career within Foodservice. There’s so many directions it could take your career within FMCG. 
We’re looking for someone who’s really hungry to progress. Who has bags of confidence to develop new business, but who also cares about giving great service and looking after our current customers. 
It’s a given you’ll love potatoes (you’ll be a big foodie), but we’ll also love for you to have the following skills:

• Strong communication, influencing and networking skills
• Literacy and financially savvy. Be able to access and dissect a wide range of data
• Good negotiation skills, as well as a natural but persuasive selling ability
• Strong time management including planning and organising
• Be a self-motivator. Although you’ll be highly connected, you won’t be surrounded by your team daily so it’s important you can motivate yourself
• A full clean UK driving licence, and comofortable with driving to new places

WHERE YOU’LL WORK…
This is a Home Based role. Our Head Office is in Scarborough, North Yorkshire and we operate a hybrid working policy here at McCain and our culture is based on achieving outcomes, so although we’d love to see you from time to time, we anticipate you'll spend most of your time out on the road meeting potential customers.
