Mouldshop Production Manager upto 60k DOE

I amrecruiting on behalf of a leading UK Manufacturing firm for anInjection Mouldshop and Extrusion Production Managerwith solidmanufacturing and continuousimprovement experience to support a team of 60 employees withoversight across two busy production shifts.
Youwill be responsible for the planning and organisation of a busymouldshop of 40 injection mould machines ranging from 25 to 668T wealso have additional extruder lines and flexible PVC machines.
Strong leadership of a large dynamic team withdemonstrable management experience is key for this role. Theposition will be working closely with the Mouldshop TechnicalManager as an integral part of four management teams there is scopefor progression within a company that truly believes in developingtheir best people internally and has ambitious growth plans for thefuture.
Mouldshop ProductionManagers key responsibilities
- Liaising with other members of management tocorrect any production issues.
- Proficient withlean techniques (5S)
- Managing day to dayactivities of the Production team
- Increasingefficiency of the Production team through regularcoaching.
- Ensuring Health and Safetyobligations are met working closely with the group Health &Safety Manager.
- Working closely with otherdepartments to ensure continuity of supply to production and goodsout.
- Supporting quality management wastereduction and environmental sustainabilitytargets.
- Working closely with the OperationsManager to deliver Mouldshop improvementplan.
What I amlooking for
- Demonstrable experience as a Production orManufacturing Manager
- Knowledge of variousassembly and manufacturing environments automation would bedesirable.
- Good knowledge of ContinuousImprovement and Lean manufacturing methods(5S).
- A confident communicator with othermembers of staff and senior management.
- Haveexcellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills.
