Cover Supervisor

About the Role:
Teaching Personnel is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic General Cover Supervisors to join our team and support secondary schools across the Basingstoke area. This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about education and looking to gain valuable classroom experience.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise Classes: Oversee classes during teacher absences, ensuring that students remain engaged and on task.
- Deliver Pre-Prepared Lessons: Facilitate lessons using plans left by the regular teacher, ensuring continuity of learning.
- Manage Behaviour: Maintain a positive and orderly classroom environment, addressing any behavioural issues promptly and effectively.
- Support Learning: Assist students with their work, providing guidance and ensuring they understand the tasks.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: A degree in any discipline is preferred but not essential. A strong academic background is beneficial.
- Experience: Previous experience working with young people in an educational setting is advantageous but not required.
- Skills: Excellent communication and organisational skills, the ability to manage a classroom, and the confidence to engage with students.
- Attributes: Reliable, adaptable, and committed to supporting student learning and well-being.
- Compliance: Successful completion of an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
