We have an interesting opportunity for a Manufacturing Services Leader to join our team at Rolls- Royce Rotatives in Derby.
At Rotatives, we look after manufacturing of Shafts and Compressor Discs and Drums for our large civil aerospace engines.
In this role, you will manage our Manufacturing Services team responsible for maintenance of our production assets/machinery. You will ensure that all the equipment, fixturing, tooling and services needed to support the manufacturing process are available when required and to the requisite standard. You will provide leadership and coaching for maintenance teams within the facility.

What you will be doing:
You will lead a team of talented people to ensure that all the machinery, equipment, fixturing, tooling and services are available when required to the requisite standard. You will also look after:
Leading and inspiring the team to deliver excellence in Manufacturing Services. Setting the direction of your team by operationalising the plans and priorities. Implementing the company’s HS&E (Health, Safety and Environment) policy, legislative requirements, and standards. Ensuring safe and compliant workplace environment and equipment for our people. Contribution to development of budget. Taking ownership of your budget and applying business acumen to achieve financial objectives. Coaching and performance management of the team to achieve their full potential. Ensuring that quality is at the heart of the way we operate. Embracing Lean leadership behaviours to enable continuous improvement in the performance and the ways we operate. Seeking input from other managers and professionals in Manufacturing Services to ensure best practice and a consistent approach is shared and adopted.Who we are looking for:

Team leadership experience. Demonstrated leadership whilst embracing behaviours that inspire teamwork and simplicity. Conceptual and practical knowledge of manufacturing maintenance services. Good record of delivering business results. Experience in functional support groups. Taking responsibility for your own development with focus on your leadership skills and have attended leadership development programmes. Preferably, you’ve completed an advanced level engineering apprenticeship and have an NVQ/SVQ/City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent certificate. Have led transformation projects and are familiar with continuous improvement methodologies such as Six sigma and lean (Green and/or Black belt - desirable).
