As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting teachers to create an engaging, inclusive classroom environment where every student can thrive. You will work closely with the teaching staff, assisting with lesson delivery, providing tailored support for students, and helping to maintain a positive and productive classroom atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities for the Teaching Assistant:
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging, inclusive lessons to a diverse range of students.
- Provide individual and small-group support to students, particularly those requiring extra assistance or working at different levels.
- Help create a positive and motivating classroom environment that fosters students' confidence and engagement.
- Assist in preparing and organising classroom materials and resources to support lesson plans.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers, helping to identify areas where additional support is needed.
- Promote good behaviour and encourage students to stay focused and motivated throughout lessons.
What We’re Looking for in the Teaching Assistant:
- A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their academic development.
- Previous experience in a Teaching Assistant role or a similar educational setting is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with teachers and other school staff.
- A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach to supporting students’ varying needs.
- A proactive attitude, with the ability to engage students and foster a positive, inclusive learning environment.
- An adaptable mindset, able to respond to the changing needs of the classroom.
