Learning Support Specialist for ASC Students

We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Specialist to join our team, supporting students with Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) in a well-established Secondary School. This role involves providing individualized guidance and strategies to students, promoting their academic and social development.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with secondary school-aged students with ASC or complex Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Strong communication and interpersonal skills, along with a calm and patient approach, are essential for this position.
As a Learning Support Specialist, you will work closely with classroom teachers, SEN staff, and other support personnel to ensure the needs of students with ASC are fully supported. You will also engage actively in professional development opportunities, including ongoing training in ASC and complex SEND support.
This is a full-time, temporary position via Teaching Personnel, with the option to transition to a permanent contract with the school after a successful probationary period. The estimated salary for this role is £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide 1:1 and small-group support to students with ASC, assisting with tailored learning and social engagement strategies
- Implement and adapt learning resources to meet individual needs, promoting active participation in classroom activities
