RCE Wellbeing Hub Waiting Well Peer Support Worker
2 months ago
Job summary
Following a successful pilot programme within CPFTs CLASS clinic we are scoping support for peers who are waiting on CPFT waiting lists.
As a Peer Support Worker within the RCE Wellbeing Hub, you will make a positive impact on people's lives through sharing the wisdom from your own lived experience.
Through co-delivering the Wellbeing Discovery Programme (WDP) for those on waiting lists for CPFT services you will role model the core ethos of Hope, Control and Opportunity. You will also offer formalised 1:1 Peer Support to those attending the WDP whilst waiting for assessment.
You will inspire hope and belief that 'living well with' is possible in others and will facilitate and support information sharing to promote connections to local communities and/or educational facilities.
You will also raise awareness of RCE Wellbeing Hub sessions to staff and peers alike.
This role will be Monday - Friday 0900 - 1700 and travel may be required across the Trust however homeworking will also be available.
Part time hours will be considered however this will be a minimum of 3 days a week.
Main duties of the job
You will be based within the RCE Wellbeing Hub however there will be an expectation to work both online and face to face (as peer and service needs dictate)
This is a new role so there may be further discussions however we currently expect around 30% of your work to be co-delivering on our Wellbeing Discovery Programme (WDP) and 60% of your work working 1:1 with peers (online or at a Hub base) offering Peer Support linked to the WDP
You will offer short, goal focussed interactions (3/4 sessions) with RCE students to support them in scoping further educational/meaning activities within their local community and make continuous connections to the WDP programme they are attending.
Alongside offering formalised peer support you will have the opportunity to co-deliver alongside an RCE Trainer on our Wellbeing Discovery Programme.
We hope that peers will feel more empowered to connect to their local communities and continue their recovery journey utilising their own unique skills and attributes.
