Teacher of Psychology needed

Location: Preston, Lancashire

Start date: September 2024

Contract length: Until May 2025

An Ofsted rated “good” Secondary School in Preston, Lancashire are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Teacher of Psychology to join the department to deliver well-structed lessons to KS4, and also sixth form. This post has arisen due to department expansion, and this could be a temp-to-perm opportunity depending on the successful applicant’s performance until the end of the placement.

We are looking for an individual who is able to inspire pupils through teaching, and is dedicated to bringing positive outcomes for all young people. If you are a confident and friendly practitioner, then this may be the perfect role for you.

You will:

  • Set high standards of expectations, incorporating the shared vision of achievement across the secondary school and sixth form
  • Be an excellent classroom practitioner, who is able to teach Psychology at KS4 and KS5
  • Be committed to working collaboratively with colleagues, pupils and parents
  • Use your subject knowledge and pedagogical understanding to support the ongoing development of a high-quality psychology curriculum and ensure its successful delivery
  • Be enthusiastic about giving young people the best possible start in life
