Isolation and purification of plasmid DNA at small to large scale

Manipulation of cultures

Analysis of Sanger and NGS DNA sequencing data

Supply DNA plasmids across matrix teams

Record data in electronic laboratory notebooks

Work effectively both individually and as part of a matrix team

Essential Skills:

Degree in Life Sciences or equivalent and 1+ years of laboratory experience in a molecular biology laboratory

Background in a biological or biochemical sciences discipline

General knowledge of molecular biology techniques

Ability to prioritise work activities to the required timelines

Strong analytical and data interpretation skills

Excellent organisational skills

Excellent attention to detail

Track record of flexibility and teamwork

Good written and verbal communication skills

Excellent record keeping skills

Desirable Skills:

Academic or industrial experience working in the laboratory

Familiarity with modern molecular biology software tools

DNA manipulation laboratory skills, such as cloning techniques, PCR, agarose gel electrophoresis, DNA isolation.

Experience with analysis of DNA sequencing data
