Synthetic Biologist

Artificial Intelligence is accelerating positive change in scientific discovery. This **Synthetic Biology Lead** role offers you a chance to contribute to the next chapter of the drug discovery revolution.

You will help establish the new Stevenage based labs and perform cutting edge experiments that will identify novel RNA targets. You will be joining a fast growth TechBio start up in exploring complex discovery projects and ultimately pioneer small molecule medicine together.

**This is what your day-to-day will look like**
- Build in-house technology development capabilities and improve current assays
- Design and validate pooled screening of gene writing technologies
- Develop complex cellular readouts and directed evolution systems
- Review and present data to senior management and external stakeholders
- Collaborate between synthetic biology, ML and computational biology

**If you have these skills, then we are excited to speak with you**
- PhD in molecular biology (or similar discipline) with significant industry experience
- Ability to operate CRISPR or pooled screening platforms
- Practical knowledge of mammalian cell culture and competent with plasmid cloning
- Creative use of synthetic biology techniques to solve biological problems
