The Lydney Practice (part of GDOC LTD)

We are looking for a Site Lead to join our Lydney Practice. ThePractice has experienced GP leads, a Practice Manager, and a stable clinicaland non-clinical workforce. This is a part time role that we envisage takingapproximately 15 hours per week. As such it could be a done as a stand-alonepart time role or it could be additional hours for an appropriate existing GDOC LTD employee.

This is an opportunity to join a well-led and well-runpractice and be part of a team enabling the delivery of high quality care tothe Lydney patients. Contract type: Permanent

Hours 15 hours a week; on site minimum of 3 days; can be flexible for the right candidate.

Initially 25 days leave per annum + bank holidays.

Salary; Benchmarked against Site Lead norms in Gloucestershire and dependent on experience; reinforced by excellent NHS pension. Expected range: £14-£16/hr.

You will be required to be immunised in compliance with Green Book (link attached) and NHS recommendations for your role (unless medically exempt), including immunisations against Covid.

Main duties of the job

Reporting to the Practice manager and ensuring adherence to CQC requirements, lead on building, infrastructure and equipment management. Lead on contractor engagement for all aspects of building and equipment maintenance, repair and cleaning. Where necessary source contractors for new requirements. Establish a rota and supporting checklists for site and equipment management and maintenance. Examples include: building infrastructure and ground checks; security and alarm checks; equipment calibration and testing; oversight of cleaning and waste management and PAT testing. This is to be done in line with legislative and insurance requirements. Responsible for Health and Safety at Lydney. Develop and/or edit existing SOPs for building and equipment management. Seek to improve patient experience: waiting room, facilities, clinical rooms, signposting and information communications such as noticeboards and practice displays. Support the Practice Manager in resolving IT issues: smartcard agent; software and hardware issues. Share key holding responsibilities - attendance at practice in an emergency. Any reasonable duties which may be requested from time to time.

We operate on a not-for-profit basis: any profits are redistributed intoprimary care in Gloucestershire.

We are a limited company run by a Board of Directors, most of whom are experiencedlocal GPs.

We run a number of GP practices, as well as some other services for thewhole county.

In Gloucester we run 9,500 patients at Gloucester Health Access Centre/MatsonLane (9,500 patients) and Partners inHealth (12,400).

In the Forest of Dean, we run two practices, both of which aredispensing: Lydney (7,500 patients), and Blakeney (3,200 patients).

Our countywide services include:

G DOC is running a Covid Medicines Service to help and support thehigh-risk patients in Gloucestershire.

Over 17,000 primary care appointments each year at Gloucester HealthAccess Centre for patients who may need to be seen the same day when their ownpractice is already full, or who do not have a registered GP. GHAC is open8am8pm, 365 days a year.
