Due to thegrowing demand for sustainable energy solutions we are looking toexpand our Team and are seeking Commercial Lawyer to providespecialist inhouse legal advice within the Energy InfrastructureServices area of the business. You will report into one of theSenior Legal Counsels primarily providing support to theirrespective business area but all members of the Team have theopportunity to support and collaborate across all companyactivities.


CommercialLawyer for Energy Infrastructure Solutions Supporting Utility heatnetwork and generation business: responsible for providing adviceon all aspects of development sales construction and operation ofnew and existing energy infrastructure projects such as the biomasscombined heat and power plant UK s largest low carbon heating andcoolingsystems.

Therole will also include workingwith

Commercial leadsto help develop innovative decarbonisation strategies and advise onany changes required to template and existing contracts as a resultof upcoming regulation and decarbonisation of the UK heatmarket.

Drafting andnegotiating a full spectrum of commercial contracts including heatnetwork contracts such as ESCO waste heat offtake and private wireagreements.

B2BSolutions Role Supporting energy solutions business: providing dayto day assistance on all aspects of development sale procurementconstruction and operation of energy solutions projects (includingon site and off site PV solar wind and heat pumps) for industrialand commercial and public sectorcustomers.



Requirements

Skillsneeded:

UKqualified solicitor orbarrister

experienceadvising on complex commercialagreements.

business acumenwith a practical commercial approach to problemsolving

workindependently and proactively but are also a reliable teamplayer

work approachwith flexibility to work to tight timescales in a fastpacedenvironment

greatinterpersonal skills with the ability to deal confidently and buildstrong and trusting relationships with businesscolleagues

excellentEnglish written and verbal communicationskills.

Idealnot essential Experience of the energy industry or working in aregulated environment also Experience of workinginhouse.
