The successful candidate will beresponsible for providing administrative support relating to all aspects ofInformation Governance and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Theywill assist with all Freedom of Information Act 2000, Environmental InformationRegulations 2004 (EIR), and Subject Access Request (SAR) processes.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible forproviding admin support services to the Access to Information Officers,Information Governance Management Team, and Data Protection Officer, relatingto all aspects of the Information Governance and the general Data ProtectionRegulation (GDPR).

The post holder will be responsible forproviding help and support with the day-to-day tasks of the Access toInformation office.

Thepost holder will support the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOI),Environmental Information Regulations 2004 (EIR), and Subject Access Request(SAR) processes.

Job description

Job responsibilities

To provide support for Freedom of Information/ EnvironmentalInformation requests from the public, media, commercial and other organisationsincluding those of a highly complex and sensitive nature.

To support the team in the completion of Subject AccessRequests under the UK GDPR and Access to Health Records Act, includingphotocopying and the use of an electronic system.

To deal with telephone calls from the public, solicitors, andmembers of staff.

To liaise with key staff across the organisation and itsclients giving appropriate support and disseminating advice and guidance,enabling all staff to work together in a seamless way developing theInformation Governance Agenda

To support the IG management team in collating and uploadingevidence to underpin compliance with national requirements.

To work autonomously,prioritising workload by following IG processes and procedures.

Qualifications

Essential

Educated to GCSE level or equivalent

Desirable

Business Admin qualification

Experience

Desirable

Previous experience of administering or working with Freedom of Information requests and subject access requests.
