An opportunity has arisen for a permanent Radiotherapy Advanced Practitioner within the Radiotherapy Department. The role of the Advanced Practitioner is varied; you are required to manage the workload of the Linear Accelerators ensuring efficient use of staff and machine resources to provide an effective radiotherapy service and to take responsibility for developing individual team members, assessing competency and offering support as required. The Radiotherapy Department operates over three sites and you will be expected to work on any site if required between the hours of 8am -8pm. The successful candidate will also be expected to participate in the on call rotas and to work some Bank Holidays.

Clatterbridge Cancer Centre - Wirral, providing outpatient cancer treatment and supportive care on the Clatterbridge Health Campus in Bebington, Wirral Clatterbridge Cancer Centre - Aintree, our radiotherapy treatment centre on the Aintree University Hospital siteTogether, working across three sites and operating specialist chemotherapy clinics in four of Merseyside's district hospitals, we deliver a comprehensive range of inpatient care, advanced radiotherapy, chemotherapy and other systemic anti-cancer therapies including gene therapies and immunotherapies.
We also deliver a pioneering Treatment at Home and Work service, are the only facility in the UK providing low-energy proton beam therapy to treat rare eye cancers, and host the region's Teenage and Young Adult Unit.
Working with leading experts from the University of Liverpool, we strive to stay at the forefront of novel treatments and techniques to deliver more effective and personalised treatments.
