We have a unique opportunity for a passionateand strategic leader to head our Property Services department. In this uniquerole, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation andcontinued enhancement of our distinctive and diverse pub portfolio (c300) whereour customers can build their own memories.
Reporting to the Director of Property Services, you will manage ourcollaborative teams of Surveyors and CAFM support professionals as well as workclosely with our Operations, Tied Trade and Finance Teams to provide ourGeneral Managers with the highest level of support for their uniquearchitecture.
As Head of Property Servicesand with a detailed understanding of our Estate, you will guide each businessthrough its maintenance and estate sustainability strategy to ensure schedulesare followed, quality expectations are met, risks are identified, and quickresolutions are provided to maintain a safe environment for all.

Lead the Charge in PropertyOptimisation
Develop and implementcomprehensive Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive supportstrategies, maximising the lifespan and appeal of our pubs. Foster a high-performingteam environment, providing clear objectives aligned with company goals andestate improvement initiatives. Champion the successfulimplementation of our CAFM project (Access Maintain ProNett), ensuring optimalutilisation across the business for streamlined operations.Forge Strong Relationships,Deliver Exceptional Results
Cultivate strong connectionswith external stakeholders, prioritising consistent, high-quality servicedelivery and achieving a balance between value and quality. Lead the annual review ofapproved contractors, ensuring robust service agreements are in place andconsistently meet our standards. Provide expert guidance andrepresentation in property matters, effectively communicating with all internal& external stakeholders.Strategic Vision, ExpertExecution
Proactively identify andresolve property repairs, maintenance, and sustainability challenges, ensuringsolutions align with long-term goals. Leverage your expertise toadvise and support project teams on targeted investment projects. Oversee the creation ofmonthly repair and maintenance budgets and meticulously plan works programs foreach allocated site.Champion Collaboration,Ensure Compliance
Facilitate regular reviewmeetings with tenants, General Managers, Operations Managers, and BusinessDevelopment Managers. Guide the timely andhigh-quality completion of maintenance, dilapidation, and compliance works,adhering to established parameters. Oversee the Surveyingensuring routine Schedule of Condition and Dilapidation surveys are completionand served within specific timelines aligned with our Pub Code of Practice,fostering collaboration with tenants and Business Development Managers to achieveoptimal resolutions.Safety First, Always
Guarantee that all projectdelivery adheres to the highest Health and Safety standards outlined in ourpolicies. Proactively collaborate with the Health and Safety Team & Estates& Facilities Manager to continuously promote a safe working environmentthroughout all areas of the business.Ensuring Efficiency,Delivering Insights
Oversee the provision ofefficient "out of hours" emergency cover whenever necessary. Maintain meticulous data andrecords for each property within our central file management systems. Regularly prepare reportsand updates specific to your area of responsibility, proactively highlightingany areas of concern to relevant managers or directors. Be prepared to undertakeadditional responsibilities as requested by the Director of Property Services.The Ideal Candidate:

Strategic Oversight Supplier Management Contract Review andNegotiation Cross-Functional Supervision Risk Assessment Quality Assurance andCompliance Health & SafetyProtocols Standard Operating Procedure Demonstrable experience inProperty, Estates and/or Surveying or in a similar role Professionally qualified orworking towards RICS, CIOB or equivalent Strong IT literacy andcommunication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate acrossmultiple business functions and external stakeholders, contractors, andconsultants. Building pathology, ensuringprofessional advice is provided and followed Decisive leader and skillednegotiator with a consistent record of delivery and attention to detail Diligent with an initiativeto comfortably consult with Executive Board members, team members, andcontractors in a fast-paced environment Working knowledge ofrelevant construction, landlord and safety legislation, with experience ininstructing and managing complex workloads Knowledge of ListedBuilding, Conservation and Planning laws together with industry-specificlegislation such as Licensing and Fire Safety Full UK driver’s LicenseShepherd Neame may be Britain’s oldest brewer but our approach isanything but old-fashioned.
