Job summary
An exciting secondment/ fixed term opportunity has arisen for a Band 4 Continence Advisor to join the Bowel and Bladder Paediatric are looking to appoint an enthusiastic self-motived individual who is keen to develop and learn the skills needed to join this specialist successful candidate will be provided with the training and support required to enable them to deliver a high quality service to the CYP and their families/carers who access our services.
Main duties of the job
To work within the children's Bladder and Bowels Service under the direction of the Children's Bladder and Bowel nurses, assisting them in promoting the development of children on their caseloads. This includes participating in the planning, assessment and implementation of programmes of care to meet the specific needs of identified children and their families. The post will include cross site working and clinic based.
Full training and support will be provided to the successful candidate.

Qualifications
Essential
GCSE or equivalent education NVQ level 4 in Early years / NNEB nursery nurse qualification / Foundation Degree or Diploma Education OR NVQ level 3 or equivalent plus additional relevant specialist training and skills Evidence of additional training and / or experience relevant to child continence Commitment to undertake additional training as required in post
Desirable
Derbyshire Language Scheme Makaton (signing system) training Associate practitioner qualification in health care
Experience
Essential
Working with children with/without special needs in a range of settings Giving advice and support to parents within a setting or through group work Experience of working independently Experience of holding a case load
Desirable
