To work with the childrens bladder and bowel service in undertaking continence assessments and instigation of continence promotion programmes in partnership with parents/carers and assesses the effectiveness of programmes under the supervision of the childrens bladder and bowel nurses.
Advises and supports families to promote the continence of children as appropriate based on the assessment made, in partnership with the childrens bladder and bowel nurses.
Orders appropriate continence products in line with Trust policy.Develops links with and liaises with relevant local childrens services Teaching and education to health professionals on toilet training programmes, education authorities and other professional groups as required.
To ensure a welcoming, caring and safe environment is provided for the children and their families, carers and visitors when they are visiting clinics.
Provide information to parents/carers regarding relevant resources and services that they require in order that the child may reach their full continence potential.
Record work undertaken with patients, families carers and professionals on appropriate service documentation and trust I.T systems.
Demonstrates Knowledge of Children's development relating to toileting skills in particular Demonstrates knowledge of child development with children with special needs.
