Are you passionate about helping students with speech and language challenges? Our secondary schools in Romford are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech & Language LSA to join our team immediately.

As a Speech & Language LSA, you will provide essential support to students who struggle with communication, helping them to engage more fully in their education and social interactions. Your role will involve working closely with teachers and speech and language therapists to implement tailored strategies that address each student's unique needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with speech and language difficulties in their academic and social development.
  • Assist in implementing individualized communication plans created by speech and language therapists.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to enhance students' communication skills.
  • Collaborate with teachers to create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
  • Monitor and report on student progress, making adjustments as necessary to support their development.

We are looking for a Speech & Language LSA who is empathetic, patient, and committed to helping students overcome communication barriers. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a proactive attitude, and experience working in an educational or SEN setting.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience working with students with speech and language needs or in a similar role.
  • Understanding of speech and language strategies and interventions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in speech and language support are desirable but not essential.
