Specialist Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist - Part-Time

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our dedicated and supportive inter-disciplinary team. As part of our team, you will be responsible for promoting the best outcomes for students through holistic and integrated programmes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with another Speech and Language Therapist, a Speech and Language Therapy assistant, and school staff to implement 1:1 and group therapy sessions.
  • Provide a range of interventions, including individual and group therapy sessions, to support students' communication needs.
  • Support and train parents and staff on speech and language development and strategies.
  • Conduct formal and informal assessments to identify students' holistic communication needs.
  • Independently provide therapeutic interventions for various speech and language difficulties, such as Developmental Language Disorder, Autism, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Phonological disorders, Dyspraxia, and Stammering.
  • Manage a caseload with autonomy and independence.
  • Collaborate as an active member of the Multi-Disciplinary Team.

Requirements:

  • Recognised qualification in Speech and Language Therapy.
  • HCPC
  • Demonstrated experience in working with paediatric populations.
  • Strong understanding of speech and language disorders and relevant intervention strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
