As an AssetSupport Engineer you will be responsiblefor:

  • Providing consultationand technical clarifications to the Baker Hughes Field ServiceEngineers and customer asset support engineers during siteactivities including installation maintenance commissioning andstartup.
  • Providing engineering support to teamsworking both on site and HQs.
  • Makingrecommendations after analysis of the data using qualitytools.
  • Protecting the Intellectual Propertyrights of the Company.
  • Attending customermeetings.
  • Being responsible of continuoustracking of technical issues relevant to Customer installed fleetproviding support to experts in issues resolution throughinteraction with Customer data collection and relevant informationgathering.
  • Attending projects internal designreview for new units and upgrades projects focusing on installationand commissioning.
  • Coordinatingmultidisciplinary Engineering team (Regional technical support HQtechnical support Product engineering etc.) to expedite issuesresolution and root cause analysis (RCA) completion assuring aproactive approach in line with Customersexpectation.
  • Setting up operating rhythm forthe assigned projects with Customer (periodic calls site visits andcoordination meetings) to discuss technical issues and tasks tounderstand Customer needs share progresses agree dispositions andpaths forward.
  • Initiating and promoting newlessonlearnt introduction to proactively improve fleet operationsand to feed products improvements into newdesigns.
  • Providing technical support to otherfunctions (Project Management Contract Performance Management FieldServices Engineering etc.) and Customer in outages upfront planningand during execution. This may include review of technicalbulletins collection/analysis of asset/design variation to issue AsRunning documentation coordination of failure mode and effectanalysis (FMEA) technical risk abetment plans and Red FlagReviews.
  • Providing/discussing with Customermaintenance recommendation based on fleet operating experiencereview maintenance operations and practices to improveavailability.
  • Leading special tasks/initiativeslike site surveys fleet health checks fleettailored maintenancerecommendations.
  • Identifying the most effectiveactions / working areas to improve the Customer fleet performancesand meet Customer expectation andrequirements.
  • Evaluating possible retrofits /upgrades.


To besuccessful in this role youwill:

  • Have a minimum of 10years of experience in rotating equipment.
  • Have experience in heavy duty gas turbines and centrifugalcompressors and auxiliaries.
  • Have knowledge inmechanical components or control systems for gas turbines andcompressors.
  • Have minimum of 5 yearsEngineering office experience.
  • Flexible towork as a rotator on 30/30 basis.
  • Have fluencyin English


Desired IT tools skill:

  • Good level of knowledge ofMS Office package applications
  • Able to easilyaccess download and navigate the GE business app like EDM (drawingrepository) and Teamcenter (BOMrepository)
