The opportunity as a Robotic R&D Engineer:

Become an integral part of our team as a Robotic R&D Engineer, where you'll spearhead the creation of cutting-edge prototypes and innovative equipment, including parcel sorting systems. You'll have the opportunity to lead projects from concept to production, solving real-world challenges at scale and shaping the future of automation technology. Responsibilities included as a Robotic R&D Engineer: 

  • Design and develop prototypes for robotics projects from scratch
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and specifications
  • Research and implement innovative technologies for robotics and automation
  • Build and test innovative equipment, including parcel sorting systems, within the organisation
  • Lead the development process from proof of concept to production, ensuring scalability and efficiency
  • Solve real-life problems at scale by leveraging robotics and automation solutions
  • Conduct thorough testing and troubleshooting to ensure robustness and reliability of the developed systems
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in robotics, automation, and related fields to continuously improve the R&D processes and outcomes

What you need to bring to be successful in this role as a Robotic R&D Engineer:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (ideally)
  • Previous experience in robotics research and development, preferably in a similar industry
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully developing and implementing robotics solutions
  • Experience in designing and building innovative equipment
  • Experience with testing, troubleshooting, and optimising robotics systems for performance and reliability
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and software engineering principles
  • Ability to create and work with prototypes using CAD software and rapid prototyping techniques
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work within multidisciplinary teams
  • Project management skills to lead development projects from concept to production
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations in robotics and automation
