Role Overview

Requirement for a highly motivated and detailed orientated Senior Business Analyst to join the Porsche Cars Great Britain (PCGB) Finance Team. Reporting to the Financial Controller but also working directly with the Chief Financial Officer, sales teams, and parent company finance colleagues.

The successful applicant will have strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate financial information in a clear manner. An interest in the car industry would be beneficial. The role includes overall responsibility for collating actual, budget and forecasts figures with specific responsibility for sales and cost of sales figures.

 

Job Purpose:
  • To provide analytical reviews of current performance, highlighting opportunities and risks to PCGB and group.
  • To report actual results and analysis as well as forecast and budget volumes and financial detailed planning in Porsche Group systems
  • To support Project Managers throughout the UK Group in delivering solutions which meet the qualitative and quantitative guidelines

Core Specific Responsibilities
  • Monthly PAG unit and financial management reporting through Porsche systems
  • Accountable for Wholesale reporting
  • Executive Committee report – financial overview
  • Produce analysis and supporting documentation for year-end audit including new car stock reconciliation and warranty accrual analysis
  • Financial assessment of after sales and vehicle sales project/campaign proposals
  • Month end closing review
  • Production of annual price/product budget and completion of PAG reports
  • Production of official forecasts and completion of group reports
  • Produce margin analysis and reporting packs for new and used cars and after sales
  • Monthly cash-flow report and biweekly forecast submission in SAP Analytics
  • Accountable for monthly new car chain calculation
  • Accountable for daily order bank, sales and order intake reporting
  • Prepare Finance sections of Board and Year End presentations
  • Continual reforecast of financial performance for the full year
  • Monthly Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss accounts reconciliation
  • Monthly Goodwill/Warranty reporting

Requirements

The individual will be a motivated individual with a desire to succeed who balances a strong accounting background with the ability to communicate and provide effective support to the business.

 

  • Required Qualifications:

- Qualified CIMA/ACCA or Part Qualified with significant experience in the role

 

  • Required IT-skills:

                - Excellent Excel skills

- PowerPoint waterfall charts

               

  • Person Specification:

                -  Excellent attention to detail

                -  Excellent communication Skills – ability to liaise with all levels of the business

                -  Strong analytical ability

 

  • Will seek wherever possible, to enhance efficiency and productivity within the department through optimization and use of systems.
  • Can communicate effectively and adjusts style to suit/fit the audience and the message being delivered, whilst maintaining the ability to get the message across to the audience
