A core function of this role is to work with the operational manager, and Head of Clinical delivery, to ensure effective capacity and demand modelling, optimised utilisation, waiting times and clinical skill mix within services. These services may be cross-specialty dependent on geographical area and are subject to change as contracts grow and evolve.
Main duties of the job
What you will do in the role
Provide clinical leadership to colleagues working within the services to ensure safe and effective delivery of clinical interventions in line with professional standards and governance requirements (incidents, complaints, risk, audit, medicines management, infection control, safeguarding) with associated reporting. Contribute to Academy delivery by being involved with the faculty, providing education to colleagues across Connect, alongside assuring quality of locally delivered education sessions. Ensure that the multi-professional workforce is supported to thrive and develop in line with relevant policy and guidance , recruitment, induction, supervision, performance appraisal, capability assessments, wellbeing. Develop and foster productive relationships with local clinical stakeholders including patient groups, community groups, PCNs, Consultants, GPs, and other clinically important contacts both internal and external to Connect, inclusive of reducing health inequalities. Ensure continuous improvement of clinical quality (outcomes, experience, safety) within services through a focus on pathway optimisation and responsible use of available resources (, clinical capacity). Personally deliver high quality clinical care to patients and lead by example meeting the clinical and commercial needs of the services.

Qualifications
Essential
From a clinical perspective the Clinical Delivery Lead will be an AHP/Nurse educated to at least Masters level (or equivalent) in their field of specialty and be able to provide a highly specialised source of expertise, with clear evidence of working at L7 across Clinical Practice, Leadership and Management, Education, Research and Audit as outlined in the HEE Advanced Clinical Practice Framework. This role is also open to those working at a Consultant-level of practice defined as being educated to doctoral level (or equivalent) with clear evidence of working at Level 8 across Clinical Practice, Leadership and Management, Education, Research and Audit as outlined in the HEE Consultant Framework. If appointed as a Clinical Delivery Lead who is working at a Consultant-level of practice, you will be supported and expected to contribute effectively to projects and activities that contribute towards organisational performance beyond your geographical area.
