Position Summary

Antarctica Asset Management is seeking an experienced and dynamic Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join our executive team. The COO will play a critical role in overseeing the company’s ongoing operations and procedures. The COO will be an effective leader with excellent people skills, strong business acumen, and exemplary work ethics. As a key member of senior management, the COO will oversee diverse business operations globally, with primary objective to ensure operational functionality and drive sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Leadership: Oversee daily operations of the company and the work of executives in Technology, Business Development, Research, Finance, Operations, and other departments.
  • Strategic Planning: Assist the CEO of AAM Group in the development and implementation of the company’s strategy and goals.
  • Process Improvement: Design and implement business operations, establish policies that promote company culture and vision, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across all areas of the business.
  • Performance Management: Lead employees to encourage maximum performance and dedication, regularly evaluate the efficiency of business procedures according to organizational objectives and apply improvements.
  • Resource Allocation: Oversee resource allocation and budgeting processes to ensure departments have the necessary resources to achieve their objectives.
  • Team Engagement: Foster effective communication and collaboration among all teams.
  • Innovation and Technology: Work closely with the Technology team to leverage technology in enhancing operational efficiency and driving innovation and growth. Ensure the alignment of technology strategy with business goals. Keep abreast of industry trends and advancements in technology to ensure the firm remains competitive and innovative.
  • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Develop and implement KPIs to measure and drive organizational performance, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and facilitating data-driven decision-making.
  • Reporting: Provide regular operational reports to the CEO and other members of the executive team.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior management role within the financial services industry, preferably within asset management or portfolio of hedge fund solutions.
  • Program Leadership: Demonstrated success in driving complex, multi-stakeholder, cross-functional programs to achieve desired outcomes while effectively managing risk.
  • Strategic Competence: Proven ability in strategic leadership, executive communication and influence, organizational agility, cross-team collaboration, results-driven focus, and excellence in both written and verbal communication.
  • Consultative Approach: Ability to work consultatively with various departments and the Technology team to align and drive strategy.
  • Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational skills, with the capacity to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities with competing demands for resources.
  • Competencies: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with various departments, and team members at all levels.
  • Tech Background (an advantage but not essential): Familiarity with Technology, with an understanding of how technology can be leveraged to enhance operational efficiency and drive innovation and growth.
