Parent Training Coordinator

To build individual’s capacity, support parents development and support children to achieve positive outcomes. To play a key role in the delivery of Parent training as part of the Family Hub transformation offer providing evidence of parental progression and career pathways.

Main Responsibilities:

1)

In partnership with the Family Hub Senior Coordinator plan and implement a robust parent training programme across North Lincolnshire and co-ordinate the delivery of the training programme across the Family Hubs providing the best use of resources and equity across the team.

2) Work with and support individual learners with their progression both with aspirations and parenting skills ensuring the core purpose statutory requirement are met. Track adult learning and visit parents in their homes to collect evidence, case studies and learning outcomes.

3) Develop and maintain relationships with Job Centre +, local colleges and  businesses, to devise and develop employment pathways and placement opportunities for parents supporting their continued development 

4) Gather and collate data relating to the programmes including analysis of programmes, evaluations and production of outcomes and present this data in agreed and consistent formats meeting inspection requirements and being part of the inspection processes of the Hubs.

5) Build and maintain effective relationships with a wide range of training providers to source and commission programmes and courses to meet the needs of local families, including courses relating to career pathways, healthy lifestyles and parenting skills

6) Liaise with training providers to ensure best value for money making effective use of government funding and source other avenues of funding or grants to support the financial sustainability of the programme

7) Coordinate the childcare provision relating to parent training across North Lincolnshire using a range of providers, and support in the management of the childcare contract, ensuring sufficient and effective, high quality childcare for children in our care and carrying out observation visits as part of the contract monitoring 

8) Consult with parents and professionals relating to the needs of local families and source programmes to address areas of need in order to help close the gap between children’s outcomes and support adult career pathways 

9) Plan and organise publicity, marketing and celebration events, ensuring learning is acknowledged and celebrated and build the profile of adult learning within the Family Hubs across North Lincolnshire

10) Manage the training budget across the Family Hubs ensuring best use of resources

11) Develop, implement and maintain systems and procedures to ensure the whole programme runs effectively and assist and mentor team members across North Lincolnshire to maintain these systems
