Blue Arrow is proud to be working in partnership with an excellent client who specialise within the Print and Packaging Industry, and they are looking to recruit an Estimator to join their team on a full-time permanent basis due to expansion, based at their offices in Nottingham.

Hours: Monday - Fri (9:00am - 5:00pm) - site based. 37.5 hours per week

Salary: up to £30,000 (DOE)

The Estimator reports directly to the Commercial Manager, supporting Account Executives and External Sales teams, satisfying customer pricing requirements in an efficient and professional manner.

What duties will be included in the Estimator role?

-Process queries from Account Executives and External Sales using software systems in place, in a timely manner, considering:

  • Profiles
  • Quantities
  • Sheet laydown
  • Material suitability and costs
  • Print requirements
  • Finishing requirements (amending machine speeds where relevant)
  • Outwork and associated costs
  • Origination
  • Delivery / stock holding requirements

-Seek value optimisation to ensure maximum profitability of every inquiry.

-Set margins in line with business goals and any previous history, as well as liaising with key stakeholder

-Type quotation letters in a clear and concise manner, ensuring all relevant information is documented to the customer

-Present quotation letters to key stakeholders explaining approach to costings in a clear and concise manner

-Any additional duties requested by management

What will you bring to the Estimator role?

  • Previous experience as an Estimator or Sales Administrator
  • Experience within the print industry is highly desirable but not essential
  • Flexible
  • Good numerical knowledge
  • Attention for detail
  • Commercial awareness
  • Multi-tasking
  • Excellent organisational and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Team player
  • Strong MS Packages - Excel,
  • Strong Organisation, Cost Control, Analysis skills
