Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant team. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to support student learning, contribute to a positive classroom environment, and help ensure the smooth operation of daily school activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the class teacher in preparing and delivering engaging lessons.
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, helping them to achieve their learning goals.
  • Assist with classroom management and behaviour management strategies.
  • Support students with special educational needs, ensuring they have equal access to learning opportunities.
  • Help to create a positive, stimulating, and safe learning environment.
  • Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities.
  • Carry out administrative tasks as needed, including preparing resources and classroom displays.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children in an educational setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for education and a commitment to supporting student development.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools) are desirable but not essential.
  • A willingness to undergo further training and professional development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
