Job description

Job responsibilities

The ICB is responsible for ensuring that high quality and safe health services are accessible to all our communities. It has a wide range of functions including promoting integration of health and care services, improving people's health and wellbeing, and reducing health inequalities.

With a £ billion budget and a workforce of 170,000 people across health and care we look after million people across the North East and North Cumbria. As well as strategic functions, ICB staff also work at place level with local health and wellbeing boards in each of our 14 local authority areas. These teams also work alongside our 67 primary care networks which are groups of local GP practices, social care teams and other community-based area providers.

The ICB works with our Provider Collaborative too, this includes the 11 NHS foundation trusts in the region to deliver our shared priorities.

The post holder will provide PA support and business support to staff within other key interdependent functions within the organisation.

The key duties required will include:

Provision of a comprehensive Personal Assistant and administrative support service to the Director and senior leaders supporting the full range of their work including diary management, organising incoming and outgoing post, dealing with personal and telephone enquiries, typing and composing correspondence, collating responses, minute taking, organising files, photocopying, travel and accommodation arrangements.

Co-ordinating meetings and preparing agendas and supporting papers, and taking detailed minutes and distribute minutes as required and undertake any other administrative follow-up actions as required.

Person Specification

Experience

Essential

Significant secretarial experience and acquired knowledge of secretarial procedures. Significant experience of providing administrative support to executive level meetings including minute taking, agenda management, actions. Demonstrable level of typewriting and word processing to a high standard of speed and accuracy (advanced keyboard skills). Working knowledge of MS Office suite including Power Point.

Desirable

Use of Oracle.

Qualifications

Essential

RSA 3/ NVQ 3 level or equivalent or equivalent relevant experience.
