Autism Social Communication Education and Training Service, currently have an opportunity for an enthusiastic, experienced, qualified teacher, looking for a new challenge.

You are invited to apply to join our dedicated team of Teachers and Teaching Assistants, working successfully throughout Sheffield to support educational settings with the inclusion of children aged 0-25 years with social communication needs and/or a diagnosis of autism.

You will be a qualified, experienced SENCo and have recent experience supporting children in either early years, primary, secondary or specialist settings or within an educational advisory service. You will also need thorough knowledge and experience of implementing the SEND Code of Practice. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, be able to work to deadlines and work well within a team. Additional post-graduate qualifications in SEND/Autism would be desirable.

You will work in partnership with a locality of set schools and collaboratively with a range of professionals to support the environment, approaches and adult role by offering training opportunities, observing, teaching and planning interventions for children with autism. You will provide specialist knowledge and practice linked to meeting need in addition to statutory duties linked to the SEND Code of Practice.

This full-time, permanent post is term time only and subject to teachers pay and conditions.

Applicants must hold a SENDCo qualification and be teacher qualified.
